What’s so special about this?

• This is a picture of a rock formation near a lake in Burma . The photo can only be taken on a specific day once a year when the sun rays touch the rocks at a certain angle.
• Tilt your head to the left and then look at it again ….

Did you notice anything different?

Korea to get 1 gbps broadband speeds

Now when visiting Korea, you can enjoy downloading a full-feature 120 minutes length movie in around 12 seconds.

The super-speed broadband will be available in most, if not all, large cities but Koreans in rural towns can still get speeds of up to 50mbps to 100mbps, allowing them to still enjoy streaming media without any issues.

Internet users in South Korea soon may be able to download a movie in just two seconds, if a new high-speed Internet project moves forward as planned. South Korea plans to build a super broadband infrastructure with upload and download speeds of 1 Gbps by 2010. The project will cost about 24.5 billion dollars, and will largely be funded by the private sector.

Amazing darshan of Shri Hanuman..

This happened in Kalika Mata temple in Ratlam,M.P., last month.
Pictures tell the true story. The Saint was telling the story of Ramayana and as people say & believe, "Hanumanji" appeared in the form of langur !! The langur first went and sat near the singers and listened to the kirtan, held the mic of the mahantji, got blessed by him, then "blessed" the saints and then sat in front of Shri Ramji's photo and took some of the flowers (note similar position to Shri Hanumanji in the framed picture) and left quietly.

Take a look..Jai Hanuman..

World's Most Expensive Camera!

Just when we thought ancient wooden boxes were all the rage among camera collectors, a compact beauty has shattered our theories -- this 1923 Leica 0-series just sold at auction for €1,320,000, or about 1.89 million in US money. Curiously enough, the exact same auction house reportedly sold the exact same camera four years ago: No. 107, the first Leica to be exported, allegedly for a patent application inspection in New York. In 2007, it fetched a relatively paltry €336,000, which was apparently still a world record for Leica cameras at the time. Quite the return on that investment, no?

Her effort earned the 37-year-old mother a Guinness record for the longest dance.

Hemaletha said she danced "to earn a rightful place" for the native dance form."

Guinness World Records official Amarilis Whitty confirmed the record Thursday. It took place in September in Thrissur, a town in southern Kerala state.

Hemaletha said she received a certificate from the Guinness World Records two days ago.

Amazing Facts About Rhinos

Rhinos are critically endangered animals that look like they haven't changed much since prehistoric times (though of course they tended to be a lot woollier back then!). Although poached nearly to extinction, conservation efforts and habitat protection are starting to make a small difference to the fate of these magnificent animals. Let's take a look at some cool facts about them.
 1. There is both a black and a white African rhinoceros but they are actually pretty much the same color. The black has a hooked, pointed lip while the white has a squared one.

2. Rhinos can grow to over 6 feet tall and more than 11 feet in length.

3. The horns are made of keratin (a hairlike substance). The longest known on a black rhino was 4 feet 9 inches long (they average about 20 inches in length on the black rhino).

4. The black rhino is smaller than the white rhino.
 5. Rhinos make their own sun block by wallowing in mud and letting it dry. The dried mud also protects them from some blood ****ing insects.
6. Rhinos are critically endangered due to poaching. Their horns are used to make ceremonial dagger handles in the Middle East (called jambiyas) and as an aphrodisiac in traditional Chinese medicine.

7. Black rhinos are very aggressive and will charge easily due to its poor eyesight.

8. Black rhinos fight each other and have the highest rate of death among mammals in fights among the same species. Fifty percent of males and 30% of females die from these intra-species fights.
 9. Black rhinos run on their toes and can go as fast as 35 mph.

10. The black rhino browses on leaves, thorny bushes, fruit and leafy plants. The white rhino is a grazer who eats grass.

11. The black rhino can live up to five days without water.

12. Rhinos use an intricate system of breathing exhalations in addition to grunts and squawks for communication.
13. White rhinos can live up to 45 years old in the wild.

14. Mother rhinos are very nurturing. The young stay with them until they are approximately 3 years old.

15. Rhinos have lived on earth for 50 million years.

16. The rhino's closest relatives are more likely to be horses than hippos because it is an ungulate.
17. The gestation period of black rhinos is 15 to 16 months.

18. The black rhino's prehensile upper lip can not only pick a small leaf from a twig but can open gates and vehicle doors.

19. Rhino horns can grow back if cut or broken off.

20. The Swahili name for rhinos is 'Faru'.

A Jharkhand school where all students failed in board exams

Ranchi, June 2: Amid all the buzz over encouraging board exam results all over India, Jharkhand's Deoghar district has a school where all its 147 students have failed in their secondary board examination.

The Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) announced the results of the secondary board examinations Tuesday. A total of 69.31 percent students passed in the examination.

However, the students of the Kothia High School were in for a rude shock as not one of them managed to pass the examination.

Angry, the students Wednesday demonstrated against the school management and demanded a reason behind their poor show.

"It is shocking that we could not pass the board examination. I was expecting more than 70 percent," said Ramesh, a school student.

The issue was brought to the attention of District Education Officer (DEO) J. Pandit Thursday. He said the students failed due to a technical fault.

"Principals of all the schools were asked to submit the marks of practical papers to the JAC by May 12. The principal of the said school failed to submit the marks on time. This is fault of the school, and we will take suitable action against the principal," Pandit told IANS.

"We have submitted the practical marks to the JAC and requested them to issue new results of the students based on the marks," he added.

A total of 354,802 students appeared in the secondary board examination in the state. Palamau district topped with 80.76 percent students passing the examination.

The 2011 results were discouraging in comparison to 2010 as a total of 74.37 students had passed out last year as compared to 69.31 percent this year.
